Our Comprehensive Pediatric Therapy Services in Dubai: Personalized Support for Every Child

We offer individualized autism therapy in Dubai, designed to meet each child’s unique needs and empower them to reach their full potential.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy sessions are designed to help children achieve greater independence by strengthening their physical, cognitive, and functional abilities. We focus on improving gross and fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, balance, posture, and sensory processing, all of which are essential for everyday functioning.Through engaging, play-based, and goal-oriented activities tailored to each child’s needs, our therapists encourage active participation while building confidence and motivation. Children are supported in developing essential daily living skills such as dressing, feeding, grooming, handwriting, classroom participation, and play skills. By consistently working toward meaningful, age-appropriate goals, our Occupational Therapy program empowers children to become more independent, confident, and capable in their home, school, and social environments.

Speech Therapy

We help children strengthen their communication abilities by addressing speech clarity, language development, and meaningful social interaction. Our Speech Therapy program is designed to support children across a wide range of needs, from those who are non-verbal to children with mild speech and language delays. Using evidence-based and child-friendly techniques, our therapists work on building vocabulary, improving comprehension, and enhancing expressive language skills. Therapy sessions focus on helping children communicate their needs, thoughts, and emotions more effectively through words, gestures, sounds, or alternative communication methods when required. By creating a supportive and engaging environment, we encourage confidence, participation, and functional communication skills that help children succeed at home, in school, and in social settings..

ABA Therapy

ABA Therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a highly structured, evidence-based approach designed to support children in developing essential life skills, improving communication, enhancing social interactions, and fostering positive behavior. The therapy focuses on understanding each child’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges, and uses data-driven strategies to promote measurable progress. Our therapists design individualized programs that break complex skills into smaller, achievable steps, allowing children to learn at their own pace. By using positive reinforcement, consistent guidance, and systematic teaching techniques, we encourage skill acquisition, reduce challenging behaviors, and help children apply learned skills across different environments, including home, school, and social settings. ABA Therapy not only builds functional abilities and independence but also boosts confidence, motivation, and the capacity for meaningful engagement with others, supporting long-term developmental growth and overall well-being.

Psychology

Psychological therapy for children with autism focuses on understanding their unique strengths, emotions, and behaviors. It helps children develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions in a safe and supportive environment. Through individualized, evidence-based approaches, therapy promotes confidence, independence, and overall well-being.Therapy also supports communication skills, reducing anxiety and challenging behaviors. Families are actively involved to ensure consistency between therapy and daily life. This holistic approach helps children reach their developmental potential and improve quality of life.

Feeding Therapy

Our Feeding Therapy program supports children who experience challenges with eating, swallowing, or transitioning to different food textures and consistencies. These difficulties may include picky eating, food aversions, gagging, limited food variety, or delays in self-feeding skills.Through a gentle and individualized approach, our therapists use gradual exposure, sensory-based strategies, and targeted oral motor exercises to improve chewing, swallowing, and overall feeding skills. We work closely with families to create positive mealtime routines, reduce stress and anxiety around eating, and encourage healthy, age-appropriate eating habits. Over time, children gain confidence with food, improve nutritional intake, and enjoy a more comfortable and successful mealtime experience.

School Readiness Group Therapy

Our School Readiness Program prepares young learners for a successful start to their academic journey by developing the essential skills needed to thrive in a classroom setting. The program focuses on strengthening attention and listening skills, following routines, task completion, and early literacy and numeracy foundations. In addition, we emphasize social interaction, turn-taking, sharing, and emotional regulation to help children adapt comfortably to group learning environments. Through structured, age-appropriate, and engaging activities, children gain confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning. This program is ideal for easing the transition into structured classroom settings, ensuring children are well-prepared both academically and socially for school life.

Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ section is designed to guide you through essential information and address your most important queries.

What therapies and services does Jewel Autism Centre offer?
Jewel Autism Centre provides a wide range of services including Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Behavioural Therapy (including Applied Behaviour Analysis – ABA), Sensory Integration Therapy, Play Therapy, Social Skills Training, Special/Remedial Education, Physiotherapy, and group‑ or individual‑based intervention programs.
How does the Centre decide which therapies a child should receive?
Every child undergoes a comprehensive assessment by experienced professionals. Based on that evaluation, the team designs an individualized treatment plan tailored to the child’s specific needs, strengths, and challenges.
Is treatment the same for all children?
No — because every child on the developmental delays spectrum is unique, therapy is customized. The combination, intensity and duration of therapies depend on the child’s developmental profile, diagnosis, and progress over time.
How important is early intervention?
Early intervention is highly important. Studies show that children diagnosed and treated early (for example, around ages 2–3) are more likely to benefit significantly, often leading to better outcomes in communication, social skills, behavior and — in many cases — mainstreaming in school.
Are parents and caregivers involved in the therapy process?
Yes — parent/caregiver involvement is considered crucial. The Centre engages parents throughout the treatment, offering guidance and training so they can support and reinforce skills at home, ensuring consistency across environments.
What kinds of behavioral challenges does the Centre address?
The behavioural therapy program helps manage a variety of challenges: aggression, self‑injury, meltdowns or tantrums, non‑compliance, repetitive behaviours (e.g. hand‑flapping), social withdrawal, sensory sensitivities, and difficulty with emotional regulation or daily living skills — replacing maladaptive behaviours with more adaptive ones.
What is the role of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) at Jewel?
ABA is one of the core therapies used. It uses evidence-based techniques — like task analysis, prompting and fading, chaining, behavior contracts, video modeling — to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviours, and encourage independence and adaptive behaviour in various settings (home, school, community).
Does the Centre help with preparing children for mainstream school and everyday life?
Yes — besides therapy, the Centre provides remedial education and special education support to enhance academic readiness. They also help children develop life‑skills (self‑care, daily living, social interaction), and offer transition support to mainstream schooling when appropriate.
Is therapy effective? What outcomes can families expect?
Effectiveness varies from child to child — the Centre emphasizes that success is individual. For many children, especially those who begin intervention early, there can be significant improvement in communication, social skills, behaviour regulation, and functional independence. Long-term follow-up and adjustments help maintain progress.
Does the Centre offer support or guidance to parents beyond therapy sessions?
Yes — apart from direct therapy for children, the Centre provides parent support programs, in‑service training, guidance for caretakers, and resources to assist families and caregivers. This helps families understand autism better and participate actively in their child’s development.
